I have worked in counseling in some capacity or another for
ten years. I began as a lay counselor and trained with American Associates of Christian Counselors. During this time I led a lay counseling group at a Hispanic church, Iglesia Nueva Vida (New Life Church) off of South Main St here in Winston Salem, NC.

My commitment to the counseling field stems from my own experience and belief that each person has a great value from God's perspective. This worldview allows me to provide hope for the hopeless. I've cared for minor children before accomplishing my degrees and professional training. I bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the multiple stages in the span of life. I provide a safe place for clients to explore issues that are posing difficulties in various areas of life. I have had an assortment of experiences in the counseling field including individual, group, family and substance abuse counseling. My primary therapeutic method is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which looks at how your automatic thoughts, beliefs, and self-talk interact with your behaviors. Other therapeutic approaches used include Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Family Systems Therapy which are evidenced-based therapies approved by North Carolina. You deserve to understand your thoughts/feelings with the ability to verbalize your own needs. You will find a safe place for solace in my office. You can share the intimate details of your issue(s) with confidence in knowing you are being heard by a professional but also a person who has like-minded commonalities. Come, share your journey with me. Rosella Edwards-Easley, M.S., LCASA, LPCA "While one person hesitates because he feels inferior, the other is busy making mistakes and becoming superior" -Henry C. I have worked with children, teens, and families for the past sixteen years, first in an educational capacity and then in roles more closely associated with counseling and mentorship. I began studying counseling in the fall of 2011 as a full-time graduate student. Coursework has included family systems, marital conflict, crisis, career, human sexuality, and addictive behaviors counseling. My practicum has involved counseling domestic violence survivors, sexual assault victims, and individuals with dual diagnoses. My completed internship at The Counseling Center has included clients from all demographic backgrounds of the Winston-Salem area seeking counseling for a variety of concerns. Serving those in need and helping teens and families achieve their maximum potential in well-being is my focus.
